Hi everybun! I took in my darling bunny Emma from my sister a little over two weeks ago (her two young children were stressing the bunny), and Emma had her first wellness check at the vet yesterday. Happily, she is in good health and there were no issues! One interesting thing we learned is that Emma is not a netherland dwarf as the pet store had told my sister (surprise, surprise – no offense to others, but I would adopt over buying a companion animal at a pet store). I was starting to suspect that she wasn’t a netherland dwarf recently, because her ears are not dwarf-like and she has grown 50% in the past two weeks. This is not a problem of course, I am in love with this beautiful little girl no matter what size she is! Now I am just curious to know what kind of breed/mix she is. The vet said she is about 12 weeks old at most (the pet store had overestimated her age when my sister bought her and told her she was 12 weeks old a month ago). She has beautiful soft gray fur and weighed 1lb 9oz at the vet yesterday. The vet said she is a standard size rabbit and could possibly be on the smaller side (getting to about 4 lbs perhaps). Any guesses to what breed/mix she is, and what weight she might get to as an adult?

And another of her at the vet yesterday (her ears are tucked back here). She was such a good girl!

I don’t know what breed/mix she is, but I wanted to say that Emma is a beautiful little bunny. Young children and bunnies aren’t always a good match, and I’m sure that Emma will be happier in your home.

Maybe she is a dwarf mix? Her face in her nail clipping photo looks dwarfish but not in others. My sister has always had dwarf rabbits… she has an obsession with them. hehe she is absolutely beautiful! So fluffy!!!

There IS a potentiality she has dwarf in her, but she’s most likely just a mutt bunny.

Thank you all! Emma is such a little sweetheart. I guess her breed/mix will be a mystery but it is no mystery that we are obsessed with her hehe.
