I know that this might not be in the right place, but I am ALWAYS worried about Chomondeley. Whenever I see him, I have to check if he’s breathing. And then I worry that he’s breathing too slow or too fast. I don’t know where the worry comes from and I know that Binkybunny isn’t like a therapy forum, but still… I need something to calm me down about Chomondeley.

Your Cinnybun passed away in November, and I know you took the loss of her hard. When my old dog passed and I had a new dog, I was always worried that something was wrong with the new dog. It was just like you describe it, I checked if she was breathing, was her breath normal, was she breathing too fast or slow. I think losing a beloved pet puts our systems on high alert. We notice every little thing, question everything, and it’s all about the pet we lost and the dread we felt then.

It does get better with time. Until then, my only advice is to enjoy Cholmondely, and he will enjoy you too. We can’t know anything about the future really. Fill his life with love and he’ll do the same for you – they do that, our little darlings.

I think about that sort of thing a lot too. Rabbits can go downhill so fast, it does make you feel vulnerable to love one. There isn’t much for it but to enjoy the time you have, like bam said.

Thank you, Bam and Diamond… I worry about a lot of things, so worrying about Chomondeley didn’t come as that much of a surprise. I’m so happy to have Chomondeley in my life and I’m going to focus on it… it’s good to know that there’s a great rabbit vet clinic nearby, and that there’s this forum…thank you.
