        Hi everyone,
I’m new to this forum and after exhaustingly searching the Internet for answers I thought I better ask the bunny experts!
First off I have a bonded pair ember and mittens and socks male/female both neutered.
I have just bought another bun tinkerbell and have seperated her into her own cage, the cage is roughly 3 inches away from ember and mittens cage.
Bonding process is going very well with ember (male) and tinkerbell the new female but mittens (female) is constantly biting at the bars of her cage nearest the new buns cage. There doesn’t seem to be any other signs of aggression, no stomping, scut down flat and ears normal.
Their food has been placed same side of both cages so they can eat socially together.
Just wondering if this cage biting is a sign of aggression or just an interest in the new bun.
        Thanks in advance
        EmbersMummy

Usually most rabbit rescue facilities only give away bonded pairs. Altered male/female combinations are what most of the recommend.

It sounds like you are trying to bring a third bunny into the bonding mix. If there is a shelter near you ask them if they can let your bunny stay for a while. Your bunny may spend a lot of time around one other rabbit’s cage and you most likely will be able to adopt the one she has chosen.
