        Hi everyone
I’ve never posted here always lurked but I need any advice.
I have a trio of bonded buns, 2 boys 1 girl. Bunny is 2/12 yrs and the other too and 1 1/12 yrs.
My 2 boys have a really bad bacterial conjunctivitis infection.
It so so awful and I feel so sad for them. I have never seen anything like it. When I first noticed I took one bun to the vet, as I only noticed his first.
I was given baytril to give orally, he got a anti biotic shot and also Llium opticin. Whrn I first noticed his eye was gunky and red.
The next morning after going to the vet his eye had completly built up with pus, like a huge sack covering his whole eye, it is completley cloudy and awful. My other bun is now the same way. I took him back to the vet the next day and she said it’s very badly infected and will take 7 days to show any improvement and all I can do is bathe it 3 times a day, apply the ointment 3 times and give him baytril twice. I am doing my best to stay positive but it’s now 4 days since the first vet visit and I don’t know if I see any improvement. I asked if it was life threatening she said no, but he may need his eye removed.
I believe she said it is a Pasteurella bacterial conjunctivitis. I would love any advice on what to do and if anyone else had dealt with this. Sorry if this is awfully worded in typing on my phone lol. My poor bunnies I feel so helpless. I Just don’t know what signs to look out for wether it be it improving or deteriorating. I have attached a photo. Also the pus seems to be in this “sack” covering his eye, so when I bath it only some crusty outer bits come away, the rest is in this sack, or is that his eyeball?
Once again any thoughts advice is so appreciated
