Hi everyone, usually when I wakeup in the morning, my bunny sprints and meets me as soon as i step out. Today, she stayed under the bed, showed a lack of interest.

Usually when I give her pellets for breakfast( as soon as i wakeup) she is super excited and eats them all right away.

Today, she barely ate the pellets when I first gave them to her, and took longer to do so, than she typically would.

She hasn’t eaten as much as she usually does, but is still eating.

I brought her in the living room today (she is usually super happy and jumping on my sofa to come and lick me ) but once again, today she stayed under the coffee table when I got home from work, and when I try to pet her she runs away.

She pooped today in the living room and it looked like type 4 (in the picture attached) but not as long)

She is acting very distant and strange and it is really scaring me because I’m really attached to her.

I know bunny’s have their off days since they are pretty sassy, but this lorries me a lot.

If anyone could help or give me advice as to what I should do or if this is normal-abnormal behaviour, I would really appreciate it!

        Thanks

Does she seem uncomfortable? Pressing her tummy to the floor (looks like she’s doing a push up)? Shifting a lot while trying to lay down? If so, her tummy could be bothering her. When Leopold has gas, he will act uncomfortable and push his tummy to the floor. He will act disinterested in food. Sometimes he’ll have icky looking cecals. I usually give him a tummy massage and baby gas drops (simethicone) and it seems to help. If she doesn’t get better soon, then I would get her to the vet.

She seems a little uncomfortable and distant.

I tried giving her a little tommy massage but she runs away which makes me think her stomach is bothering her…

But I don’t know if I sourd go see a vet right away.  I booked an appointment for tomorrow morning but I don’t want to go there and have them just give her a regular check-up and say that nothing is wrong when something is..

The main thing that lorries me is that she’s been having softer poop ever since this morning, and I haven’t seem many round poop pellets (unless she has done them under the bed today since that’s where she’s been hiding all day)

Do you think it could be a GI stasis issue?

            Thanks again

              Is she still eating some?

Go to the vet to be safe. If something is wrong with her (to me it sounds like something is wrong) your vet can figure out how to help you. Make sure you go to a rabbit experienced vet.
Check under the bed to see if she pooped there. Monitor her poops, make sure she is still eating. If she stops eating that is when you MUST go to the vet. My friend’s rabbit passed away after not eating for half a day. They can go downhill fast. I don’t want to scare you, but its definitely better to act on the safe side.
                I hope she recovers quickly!

It sounds like bunny had an appointment this morning. How did it go? I was thinking that if she was still eating something, then it was okay to wait for today’s appointment.
