Happy is an adult female, unspayed rabbit. (I do plan to have her spayed next month.) She was a farm bunny prior to living with me, and and there was no reason to litter train her. Since she has become an indoor, house rabbit, she has been peeing for the most part, in the litter boxes. However, she has peed a few times on either the couch, or on myself, or my son. I am just curious, could this be just accidents because no one has ever tried litter training her, or are these more likely spraying incidents? Each time she has peed oupside the boxes, it has been small amounts of pee, but Idk if that is normal for bunnies. I am just wondering how you know the difference between an accident, and spraying. Thanks, all.

I think spraying is actually sprayed-and it can go quite far-like 6 feet away. It’s quite common for litter trained rabbits to pee on beds/couches (anything soft really). My rabbit Kahlua is very clean and will pee on any nice fluffy surface-every single time.

Odd for them to ever pee on a person.
In the situation where she peed on your or your son, was she being held for a long time? Trying to escape? (I just wonder if she tried to make it to the bathroom?). If not, I would mention this to your vet when you are getting her spayed-like I said, it’s odd for any rabbit to pee on a person, and if ti’s a small amount, I wonder about an infection or something else medical.
