My little boy Bruiser started to drink a LOT of water 3 weeks ago all of a sudden, I took him to the vets and they said it was nothing to worry about and he appeared happy and healthy.
About a week ago I noticed he wasn’t using his hind leg and became worried, to cut a long story short he went to the vets today for an X-ray and it appears poor Bruiser had cancer of the kidneys that had spread to his hip, leg and pelvis.
I was absolutely devastated, Bruiser had deteriorated over the past week and I could see he was in pain.
I had to make the decision to put him to sleep and it’s absolutely broke my heart.
He was only 11 months old and he took up a lot of my time, I feel like I’m at a loose end now and miss seeing to him and cuddling him.

I’m very sorry about the loss of your little Bruiser. That’s a hard decision to make, but it is the right one when a bunny is in pain, especially with what must have been a fast progressing cancer. He knew that you loved him and that you didn’t want him to suffer. I’m sure that he loved the all times you cuddled with him.
