It’s funny, I thought the pics weren’t posting, so I edited this with an explanation, but Veinna just replied so I guess the pic did post! I tried everything so there is three of the same I think. Technology is not my thing!

I wanted to know what you all think of their body language. Thanks for opinions!

Nice picture… looks like one is saying ‘hey come play’ and the other one turns her back and says – ‘not today, go away’ !
But that’s just my imagination, I don’t know much about rabbit body language…

…and apparently rabbits can mate through a fence… just in case you hadn’t read that post and they’re not spayed…. ;o))

            Hi Vienna,
Thanks for your reply ☺. They’re both fixed- I heard that too about bunnies mating through fences and was horrified. Determined little creatures I guess!

Nelli is the fluffy girl with her back to the camera, and Lukie is obviously the little guy on the other side. They are behaving in this pic- they still get into snorting and nipping nosie matches, but aside from a few patches of fur, neither is ever damaged. However, when then got together accidentally- twice!- both times Nell got scratches and the 2nd time she needed stitches on her belly for the scratch! That really scared me, but when I trimmed Luke’s claws, it made perfect sense; he has these incredibly sharp claws that really hook under. And he had just been clipped in the last 6 weeks! So Im,very cautious about them meeting again. If only there were little boots they could wear… Lol like they would go for that!

Could they meet on neutral territory? Like somewhere else, nowhere where they’ve been and marked as theirs before? – I’ve heard that works too.

Actually, we are moving very soon- thought it would be in late summer but renovation took forever. I’m thinking of bringing them both at the same time, but separate carriers since Nell will still hump his head and nip him in the car. Then, upon arrival to the new house, put them in their special room together. They will have the run of the downstairs except for living room, but this room is just for my arts and crafts and the bunnies ?. I read that giving them too much space initially could cause fighting. Its hard to know what to do.

But hopefully this neutral territory plus the fact that they’ll be terrified will help them bond!
