        My bunny is in a small cage i got her from someone and the cage came with her i am 100%going to build a diy cage for her but in the mean time i would like to know  if any one as a cheap temporary like pen or cage idea so i dont fell bad about her being in the cage i cant even believe that she was in there for a year while being owned by her old owner i am going to put a photo of her and the cage on my profile then you can see what i mean so please help . need ideas

          I would suggest a large or medium dog crate for a temporary cage. I think that they are big enough for a rabbit to happily life for a brief period of time- much bigger than a “rabbit” cage, which are often too small.

            You can check around for some sales on x-pens. Many people keep their rabbits in x-pens, while also allowing them to run and play in the house, in bunny proofed rooms. You may decide that you don’t have to build her a diy cage if she has an x-pen, since they do give rabbits a good bit of room. It’s usually recommended to get an x-pen that’s at least 36″ tall, since rabbits can jump out of shorter ones, although some rabbits aren’t jumpers.
