        OK this is Olly Bunny.

Santa brought me a big pen to play in, yes I like it, I throw Bunny flops and throw my toys, I even lay down and watch cartoons on the Computer or TV when I am in, but when mummy has to clean my cage she disconnects the pen from my cage and clips it together, I lunge at the bars and try to get out, I lift it up and bang it on the floor, mummy does leave my litter tray in my pen, then when she has finished I go back in my cage to sulk, and she wants to know why.

Yes we know cleaning a cage is a big thing for bunny.

Couldn’t it be that you’re shutting him out of his rightful home and invading his property? I’ve done that with Bam, had him out in the hallway and closed the gate to “his” room while I was cleaning it, and Bam got VERY upset. He threw himself at the gate and chewed the netting and I had to let him back in – I thought he’d be happy not to have to be in the same room as the hoover, but he wasn’t. He was very angry.

Mine don’t have a cage, only a pen and when I clean it they help ( get underfoot .) They never seem upset.

Yes bam it could be that and funny enough he does like to help, by help he takes his toys out of the cage and push his litter tray to the front of the cage, maybe its because he didn’t like Mummy doing everything again, he does like when I put his tray on top of the bag to knock it all in, he is very territorial and yes I can see it now I’d get angry if I couldn’t get in my home.
