A couple of days ago our 13 week old Lionhead/dwarf mix, Ebony (Ebby for short) passed on to rainbow bridge. We had rescued Ebby from a small rabbit mill on our island who where keeping her and many other rabbits in a guinea pig cage. (there must have been around 6 or 7 of them stuffed in there.) Unfortunately we didn’t know she had a urinary tract infection until it was too late. We took her to the emergency vet hospital. They prescribed antibiotics and sent us home. Ebby passed onto rainbow bridge that night, despite our efforts to save her. We are all very heartbroken by the loss of one so young, and so sweet. In the short time we had her, we all fell in love with her. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.  Rest in peace Ebby baby <3 May we meet again.

I’m so sorry that you lost her. It was so good of you to rescue her from what must’ve been very bad conditions. She probably was weakened by having had to live like that. Thank you for taking her in and letting her get to know love and what it’s like to have a proper home.

          Binky free, Ebby.

I’m so, so, so very sorry. It’s something extremely difficult to go through <3 At least her last days were spent with people who both loved and cared for her <3

Sorry to hear the news, so glad you rescued Ebby, but don’t think that Ebby has gone, Ebby is in your heart, myself and Olly will light a candle for all the rabbits who have passed away tonight xx

I am so sorry. That is such a hard thing to go through, there are no words that can really help with loss, only time. Ebby obviously lived a wonderful life and had people who loved her very much.
