As far as I can tell my new bunny is little trained in the fact he uses same corner as toilet and hasn’t peed on the carpet at all, is enough to use towels/blankets in cage as bedding with hay for food as well as snuggling in? The house is a moderate heat at all times.. and the sawdust is making an affa mess on my carpet!

Fleece blankies are best. You can use towels but if your bunny eats it, it can be dangerous. Fleece is safe. Bunnies do best in cooler temps. Not to cold. Just me sure it doesn’t get to hot.

Few people here, if any, use sawdust as bedding. It is messy and it makes it more difficult for the bun to understand where he/she is supposed to go to the bathroom. As Crashely says, fleece is the safer choice, since it doesn’t have threads like towels do. Don’t buy anything too pricey and “nice” fleece-wise, your bun will make holes in it and dig in it. And buns are very resistant to cold, it’s heat they can’t deal with.

Sawdust certainly would be messy and I’m not sure that it’s entirely safe for rabbits to be in all the time. Do you not have a litter box in his cage? Regular bunny safe litter, such as pelleted pine or pelleted paper in a litter box would be a lot less messy, and easier to clean.
