Ideas for fencing off a Christmas tree?

  We put up our (artificial) tree this weekend and as expected our bun won’t leave it alone. She nibbles at it and when we scold her, she just goes around to the back of it where we can’t reach her. I know once i put the boxes under there she will go to town on them. I am having a hard time finding a fence/gate that is big enough to fence it off. Any ideas? I tried making a fence out of NIC cubes but I have such a hard time with those connectors that are supposed to snap on. I built her cage out of NIC cubes and used zip ties but if it werent for the dowels and the roof, it would bend and collapse in the middle so I dont know how to get a fence made out of these to stand up. I would appreciate any ideas! I can order a gate online but it wont get here in time.

  You can go to PetSmart or Petco or other pet supply stores and buy an x-pen. They come in different heights, starting at 24″ tall. They are certainly big enough to fit around a tree. Most of them are a gold/brass color, some of them are white. They aren’t cheap, but maybe you could one for other things after Christmas is over.
