So I just bought a baby bunny and the breeder told me that the baby was a Flemish/dwarf mix. (Her mother being a Flemish giant and her father being a Netherlands dwarf.) I’m having a bit of a hard time believing it, Flemish giants and dwarfs obviously have a HUGE difference in size! So I want to know, do you think its possible? I’ll insert a picture of my baby girl here so you can see her! She is only 5 weeks old so she isn’t very big, if you cup your hands together she can fit in them, she would probably also fit in a teacup haha.

Well I suppose it’s possible since the Netherlands dwarf is the male and not the one being pregnant so it should be possible that that really happened but it’s kind of odd that the breeder did that

It’s physically possible. Perhaps an accident? Oh well, that is one adorable little bunny. Guessing adult size will be difficult. But if she didn’t inherit the dwarf gene (50% chance) then I would suspect she would get fairly large. Probably not full Flemmie size, but a good sized bunny nonetheless.

I do just want to point out that the breeder who sold her to you sold her WAY too young. That baby should still be with her mama!

It’s possible, but she will probably grow to be a big, but not to a full Flemmie size. I’ve also never heard of a breeder mixing breeds like that…..

Yes, she was given to us far too young. She came from not so great circumstances, but she is gaining weight and seems healthy. We are taking her for a health check in the new year.
