So Jolly old Santa will be coming round a week after my birthday, oh dear I’ll be 40 on the 18th December, I was supposed to have been born in January, but anyway I decided it was time, this year it will be Olly’s first Christmas here, so as I have no children and no family Olly will have a special Christmas with gifts, we will put a mince pie and hmm erm? Is it brandy or sherry you leave out for Santa? I haven’t seen Santa for over 20 years, so it will be fun, but this year because I don’t know Santa’s address I have to get Olly’s things and then take them to the Elves to be wrapped up, so Santa can pick them up and bring them at about 1:00 in the morning, it will be fun.

What drink do you leave out for Santa?

Eggnog for Santa, and don’t forget the cookies.

If Santa is having a hard time figuring out what the kids with the long ears want for Christmas or Chanukkah, I can think of a link very nearby with lots of ideas. hint, hint, scroll up

We leave Christmas-porridge out for Santa. It’s rice cooked in milk, with cinnamon and some sugar. From what I can find, this is a tradition in all Nordic countries. But nowadays I doubt anybody does it. As far as I know, we never left anything alcoholic out for Santa.

Bam could you imagine Santa drunk? Police looking for him because he has been throwing stones up to the windows shouting. “Wake up, let me in, got your stuff, I want to go home and drink some coffee, why is this place spinning? It wasn’t last year.”

Cookies and Milk are left out for Santa here in America. =3

                I don’t know what Moxie is getting yet, I haven’t been pet-shopping yet…

Chewie and I will be apart this Christmas, but we made up for it because the big celebration in our family is actually on St. Nicholas Day (6 December) which is also my birthday. This means that we left out cake and champagne (which I secretly made disappear in the night teeheehee)

So we decorated our little tree…

because Chewie thinks real trees are all-you-can-eat buffets…

and we had a countdown to December 6…

                  followed by a special dinner…

and then right before bedtime we opened presents.

Awww, cute Christmas pictures! I haven’t bought any pet presents yet, but everybody usually gets a couple of new toys and a few treats. Toby loves the timothy hay with the dandelions and rose petals mixed in…and kitkat will get a new tunnel (she ate a hole in hers)…maybe a new bed for the dog, lol. No big plans though, just a quiet night at home with the family.

Fantastic pictures, I will be a little late getting ready for Christmas because Olly has been very very ill, we had a big vet bill but don’t worry he will be OK, I think it is a bit early and too much for him to put the decorations up and take pictures of him, he is getting an X-pen for Christmas, if we don’t get any good pictures for Christmas we will get some pictures of him in his X-pen from Santa.

I’m glad to hear that Olly’s feeling better. We were rooting for him to bounce back quickly.
