I found a rabbit savy vet who does all the spays and neuters for our rabbit rescue place in our area and i found out she was the same vet who took care of my three dogs growing up.  Im just scared.  Im bringing her in at 7am and shes going to be so confused on whats going on and I just want her to be safe.  I heard rabbits die alot from spays.  I dont want anything to happen to my little girl I love her so much but the dominance has to stop and the biting has to stop and the peeing and pooping everywhere has to stop.  I want her to be 100% litter trained.  Shes getting there but not when shes running around.

Also how do I keep her from going under the Xmas Tree?  she wants to go under there and bite the cords but its in the corner and I just cannot let her not run around.

Also for how long should she not run around after the spay and what should I expect?

Good luck! Spays are very common procedure and sounds like you found a good, reliable vet to do them so I wouldn’t worry too much. It’s easy to worry though because… surgery! ,y girl, Sophie is going to get spayed tomorrow as well! I’m nervous but excited to get this out of the way. It’s a great preventative care to avoid cancer. The hormonal issues are certainly an added bonus though. When I got my previous rabbit, sally, spayed I kept her caged for 3 days and then day 4-7 she was allowed in my hallway to stretch her legs but didn’t offer anything that she could jump up on. She was herself by day 3. Like very cooped up and begging to get out! I don’t have advice for the tree. I put mine up off the ground to keep the rabbits and an infant away from it

I have two just out of spay Friday and still on daily metacam.

One is very docile and the other not so much, though they are basically on ” bed rest ” the brown one can’t contain itself sometimes. Short of sitting on it I fail to see how to stop it from moving around the x pen. It only has one or two energetic episodes throughout the day and it seems fine.
