I know it’s good to hear movement in your rabbit’s stomach but I am sitting at my desk and I can hear Luna’s stomach gurgling (she’s sitting right beneath the desk). Is that OK?? I’ve never heard it make noise this audible before.

To add: she seems fine. i tested her and took a piece of cilantro out of the fridge and she ran towards me and ate it. now she’s in her litter box eating hay. i’m nervous though, could it be gas or something bad?? I was told to give her simethecone (or however it’s spelled). Should I? And how much?

Simethicone is widely used by rabbit-owners against gas, there is however little scientific evidence as to its efficacy. It is recommended by Medirabbit though. It doesn’t get absorbed by the intestines, so it’s not harmful. You can give 0,5 – 1 ml of normal strength baby gas drops. A common strenght is 40 mg/ml. You can repeat the treatment after an hour.

Also try and get your bun to move. That she ran towards you and took the cilantro is great =) Body movement makes the intestines move so gas can be moved along their length and hopefully be released =).
