I’ve been shopping around for rabbit toys for Nimmy, and I’ve found one that interests me on Amazon. Apparently this is good to deter rabbits from chewing on carpets, which would be great. So I was wondering if anyone has used this before? Did your rabbit(s) like it? It’s $35 on Amazon, which is pretty expensive for some wood with rope tied to it. Has anyone saw something similar for cheaper? It’s got mixed reviews on Amazon so I’m not sure if I should buy it or not.
Also, most importantly, is this safe for rabbits??

Assuming the wood used is pine (which it looks like it is), this would be perfectly fine for a
bunny. My bunnies love sisal toys.
If you didn’t want to pay the somewhat hefty price they are asking, this toy would probably be easy enough to make yourself. You can get untreated sisal online, in some pet stores, or at craft stores (just make sure it is untreated.) Jute string is also suitable. Drill some holes in a piece of wood and tie the string off. Even if your homemade version isn’t as nice looking as the online one, it would serve the same purpose and would ultimately give you an idea whether buying the more expensive version would be worth it.
