Hi, We have had our two bunnies separate for three weeks and meeting each other through a cage. They have now been meeting for short sessions in a neutral territory. Both are Neutered, we have an older boy and a younger girl. The girl is a rescue where she got into a really bad fight with another bunny. They don’t fight, and have snuggled. But they keep putting their heads together. Jeremy is obviously expecting her to groom him first as his junior, but she has only done this once or twice. He then gives her a little chase and a nip, but stops as soon as a loud noise is made. He has also chased her and binkied? Are they playing?/Is this normal?

        Thanks

Update: They keep doing this every so often, but they also now have loafed and laid down next to each other?

It sounds like they are doing well. Keep extending the neutral bonding times as long as possible. Give them treats and their veggies in there are well. They will see this as a happy place they want to be.

To help want her to groom, you can put a little bit of banana or few drops of apple juice onto your males head so your female will lick it off
