          Rabbits really shouldn’t be on their backs. It’s kind of traumatic for them, because their bellies are so vulnerable. It’s cute, so people do it, but it isn’t good for them at all. I believe baby bunnies are also more susceptible to cardiac arrest from fear. It’s hard to say for sure, but that might have happened to Flurry.

          I’m really sorry, I get the impression that Flurry was a surprise arrival and you didn’t get to research rabbits first, but I’m sure you did your best.

              It’s really difficult to say what happened, as Amy said they shouldn’t be on their backs, it’s very scary for them, but of course most buns don’t die from being on their backs. She may have had a heart condition that she was born with. It was not the apple or celery, that’s ok for buns to eat and if a bunny gets stomach trouble, it doesn’t cause the bun to just drop dead without warning.

              I’m so sorry this happened. You were so good to take Flurry in.

                  How old was Flurry? She looks very young in your profile picture, do you think she got separated from mum maybe and died because of this ? Or maybe because of her age her immune system was weak, and she caught something – but you would have probably seen symptoms of this beforehand. Had she been normal up to then ?
                  I’m so sorry for your loss…..<3 Binky free baby Flurry!

                    I don’t really have much to say other than I’m so sorry for your loss. Pets can make a big impact on us, even if we’ve only had them for a short while. {{{{Hugs}}}}

                          It’s so sad, I’m so sorry you lost her and it must be so hard to unpack her things. She would’ve had a such a great life with you. I’m glad she was loved and cared for by you during the last two weeks of her short little life.

                              I’m so sorry, Lindsy. But the other posters are right – at least little Flurry had two weeks of a safe, happy life with someone who loved her.
