My bun passed away two weeks ago, and I am still grieving. But I am considering rescuing a shelter rabbit in the New Year, possibly. Does anyone think that this is all right? I know in my heart that no one will every be able to replace Cinnamon, but I miss taking care of a friendly, loving creature. I’m just wondering if anyone’s been in the same place as I am. I’m not trying to replace Cinnamon, and I’m not going to rush into a decision, but I’m thinking about it. Any advice?

Absolutely. If you feel you’re heart is open, then some little rabbit will be lucky to have a home with you. The only person you need ask if it’s right is yourself. It’s different for everyone.

Personally, I think having another bun (or any pet you adopt) helps in the healing process and adopting is a way to honour the ones we had to say goodbye to.

Thank you, jerserygirl. I think that, come New Year, I will decide to adopt again. Thank you for your reply!

Absolutely – if you’re asking yourself this question, then you’re pretty much there… :o)

I am a 150% dog lover – I think I must have been one in a past life or something, Anyway I lost my dog 2 weeks ago and I know absolutely and without doubt that I will NOT get another one. (Not at the moment atleast LOL). Work, home, lifestyle does not suit at the moment.

Turn the question around, which I always do…
Would you regret it if you DIDN’T get another bun….?
Reversing the question gives you an almost instant answer rather than… “should I…?” I use this when buying something, or want to pay to go and do something… I did it just this morning. It always works !!

Don’t forget to show us photos !!

Thank you, Vienna Blue in France. Yes, I really do think that my heart would not be the same if I did not adopt another bunny at SOME point. Certainly not now, but possibly soon.

I’m trying to upload a pic of Cinny… does anyone know how to do it? (Sorry, I’m not great with technology LOL)
