My rabbit loves Timothy hay from the store but it’s so expensive and he eats it all in a couple days. So my grandpa brought some of his horse hay over, it’s just grass and my rabbit won’t eat it :/ He eats Timothy hay but won’t eat the horse/grass hay. Anyone know why??

Many rabbits are picky with hay, plus most rabbits are suspicious of new food. If you can mix some timothy in with the horse hay, maybe she’ll get started on the horse hay eventually. Just keep a close eye so she eats the amount of hay she needs, if a bunny refuses food so its tummy becomes empty, it’s very dangerous. There must always be food in a bunny tummy for it to work properly.

My rabbits refuse to eat the same hay my horse does. I have to buy Oxbow.
