One of my friend’s aunt would like to surrender a 4.5 months old unspayed/unneutered bunny to me. I have a neutered rabbit around 2.5 years old, and I thought it would be a great idea to find a companion for my current bun. I checked my local rabbit savvy vets and neutering/spaying cost from $120-$400+. I am a student and I cannot afford to fork out another couple hundred on my rabbit. I am posting on here to get advices and see what other reliable options I have that other bunny moms and dads have tried.

My friend’s aunt is giving me roughly 1 week to decide whether I want to take the bunny in or not. After that, she claims that she will be sending the rabbit to our local shelter, as she is leaving the country in a couple weeks. I feel obligated to take the bunny in as I do not want to see another rabbit going to the shelter. Please help.

Check out these places. Unfortunately, the list doesn’t state which see rabbits, so you’ll likely have to contact each one.

Also contact vrra.org to ask if they recommend any clinics.

Any chance your friend’s aunt would contribute to the cost? She would likely have to pay a fee anyway if surrendering the rabbit to a shelter…

          Good luck!
