        Hi,
I’m curious to see how many of you have pet insurance for your rabbits? Pet insurance for rabbits is unfortunately not available for rabbits in Canada and it is something I would really like to change. Anyone else here from Canada who feels it should be an option for rabbit owners? Those vet bills can be pretty high, especially if you end up having to deal with surgeries or chronic illness.

I’m in Canada and I agree-it stinks we don’t have it. From this forum, I’ve heard VPI is a really good insurer in the US. I contact them infrequently to remind them that us northerners would be interested if they ever expand.

I am in the UK and have both my buns insured. I have never claimed the insurance because the excess I would need to pay was pretty much the same as the bill but I am thankful to have it. should I need to take one of them to the emergency vet for example, its £160 just to get in the door without paying for treatment on top of that. I am happy knowing that my insurance would give me that money back because its a lot of money to me and I wouldn’t want to be that out of pocket if I could help it

I’m in Sweden and I have insurance for both my buns. I’d never dare not to. No small pet-insurance here covers teeth-issues though.
