Hey gang, I have an odd one… one of my females was humping the other one, lasting a few seconds and then it spasmed and fell over in that familiar male stereoptypical way. It had us concerned that the female is actually male. Can anyone please confirm, genetalia photos below. It would really help us out. If she is female, is it common for females to spasm and fall over like that?

To me it looks like a girl. The space between the genitals and the anus is very short, as it is in girls. If you compare both buns’ privates, is there a difference? It’s often easier to see if you compare two buns. It’s not abnormal in any way for a girl bunny to spasm and fall over like you describe. Rabbits have very high sex-drive, both boys and girls.

We’ll be having her spayed soon, so hopefully a vet can confirm that for us, but I do believe you’re correct. The other bunny appears to have the same business going on down under so it appears we were at least given two females like we requested. Also glad to hear females do the spasm too, because we were really freaking out. Right now miss humps-a-lot only gives attention to the other bunny when she’s in a humping mood. Otherwise she literally turns her back to the other rabbit. If the other rabbit goes to meet her face to face, she’ll again just turn her back. Hopefully some of this will fix itself after spaying and with a little time.
