Hello all! I just got a bunny a couple of weeks ago. I am trying to litter train her, but I’m wondering if I need to put bedding in the bottom of her cage? I was using aspen shavings but I feel like having that in the whole cage wouldn’t help litter training. Plus, she would dig it all out of her hideout so that she could sleep on the plastic bottom. Then I tried using fleece and towels, but it was so messy with her peeing all over them and she kept pulling it away from the corners and piling it in the middle of the cage. Today I took the fleece out and didnt put anything else down but since she is not litter trained, she is peeing on the plastic bottom and running around with a wet bum. So I definitely don’t want that either! This is my first bunny so I’m looking for as much as advice as I can get. Thanks!

Do you have an actual litter box in the cage ? With bedding pellets and hay ?
