New bunny is comfortable around me but won't let me pet her?

  woops i thought i put in the whole thing but i guess not, i got her 4 days ago and she climbs on my hands, eats from me, hops around and flops around me but she wont let me pet her! She sometimes lays down for me to pet but 3x is the most she’ll tolerate. she’ll growl or hop away. Thanks!

  Just give her time! 4 days is like nothing. That she relaxes near you and flops and likes to be around you is just SO great for a bunny that’s been with you for only four days! I think she’ll come round to being pet. Don’t force yourself on her, she is a little bit insecure still (that’s why she growls), but to me it looks like your relationship is coming along very nicely!

  That’s great! Bunnies tend to prefer to be pet on the head, the nose and around/on the ears.

  I’ve had Olivia for 7 years and she most of the time will only let me pet her on the head and ears. She has to be really relaxed for me to be able to touch anywhere else.

  I have 3 snuggly bunnies, and 1 aloof bunny. I’ve had Morgana for 2 years and I can just barely pet her on her head.
