Our little fellow for the most part is behaving normally, except for the past day or so, he sits fairly hunched and cranes his neck directly upwards, it’s not as if he’s looking up but as if he’s stretching… Any ideas of a cause? Or a remedy? Thank you!

He does this continuously? Or as a quicker motion and then he’s done? I’m having a hard time visualizing what he’s doing exactly based on your description.

Best to get him checked out as they are notorious for hiding when not well.
This could be indicative of pain.
If you can, try film what is happening for vet to see.

He doesn’t do it continuously no, the vast majority of the time he’s sitting normally then all of a sudden he lifts himself up slightly then whilst keeping his back straight turns his head upwards to almost a 90 degree angle…

Thanks! I have several videos to show the vet when I take him in!

I agree with Jersey. Since it is a motion, rather than a chronic thing, it makes me think he is doing it because he’s in pain.

I’m inclined to agree as well, I’ll be taking him in to see someone! Thanks for your advice guys, much appreciated!

Panic over, he’s strained his neck, nothing major, the vet gave us some metacam and it seems to be doing the trick! He’s looking a lot more comfortable! Thanks again for the advice!

I’m glad you got it sorted! Many neck-healing-vibes for him!
