So I was just cutting some champignons mushrooms (agaricus bisporus) for lunch and they are really fresh and tasty looking. And I had to leave few for Redford. But since I read few days ago from someone here that his/her rabbit died from food changes I have become more paranoid about my little fluffy monster.
Any advice on this one. And seriously mushrooms are looking so great that I’m tempted to try them in rabbit style, uncooked.

I wouldn’t give mushrooms to my bunnies, mushrooms are not plants, they are made of protein instead of carbs. But they do smell and look delicious, raw agaricus mushrooms. Eat them yourself and be happy!

Regarding food changes: When you make changes to a bunny’s diet you should always do it gradually, and be very cautious of how the rabbit responds. If the bunny refuses to eat, you need to provide sth that it will eat, not wait for it to get hungry like you do with a dog. It’s much easier with a dog, bunnies are so sensitive tummy-wise.

            Thanks bam!
Well it looks like we are gonna munch them on our own, but no complaints. ☺

My dad once gave mushroom stalks to Moshu ; he was unaware that they can be toxic to bunnies. Moshu was not quite lured to them either. I guess a lot of animals have this in-built instinct regarding what is good for them, what is not. It is wise of you to confirm, though. Mushrooms are not on the safe food list of bunnies.
