I got my baby bun in May and we’ve been bonding really well, until last week. He won’t take food from my hand anymore but he is still eating food in his room. I’m not sure what I did. I’m always really gentle with him. Has anybody ever heard of this happening?
I’m thinking maybe he needs a bun companion? Im in the process of adopting a friend for him.
        He is neutered.
Anybody have any advice on what to do for him? I’m up for trying anything. He hasn’t binkied in a while. He used to on a regular basis.

I’m not sure this will work, but try lying still on floor near his pen, leaving the door open. Bunnies are very curious; he’ll probably come check you out. If he does, don’t move. This will help re-establish trust.

It sounds like you might just need to start from scratch…I agree with Boing. Spend a ton of time on the floor and ignore him. Let him come to you and don’t pet him. Give him some time to feel like you are safe again. Food always helps so maybe some veggies or pellets next to you on the floor. Let him eat them off the floor. Maybe in time you can have him eating out of your hand again. Rabbits are so funny. Who knows what makes them mad. I’m sure he will come around again. Just take it slow and be patient. It is so hard because they are so cute and all we want to do is love on them!
