I have a rabbit named Sirius who’s 7 months old, and is very playful and energetic. However, last night when I was holding him, I noticed that his ear had white spots inside it and he won’t lift his ear up anymore. He keeps it pressed against his body. He lets me touch it, to wipe it with a warm washcloth, but otherwise he sits in his cage, or in the corner of his hallway and doesn’t move. About a week ago the same ear was completely covered in blood, but I couldn’t find the source of the bleeding and it had stopped before I saw him. His left eye is also very red and watery. I scheduled an appointment with a vet this Thursday, but that’s 4 days away. If he’s in pain, I want to stop it before then! Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am very worried!

A rabbit in pain won’t eat, which makes the gut slow down so there’s very little poop. If that happens, ie the bunny won’t eat (not even a yummy treat) and/or not poop, it’s an emergency. Sometimes a bunny in pain will grind or chop its teeth rather loudly. That generally means a lot of pain.

Can you see any sores in the ear? The white spots, are they like pimples or what?
