So my buns have both began their….major shedding lol. Quick silver quickly started and stopped, fur all the same just thinner and shorter with a few chunks of still shedding fur here and there. My female though, she started hard and is still going hard. What’s weird is her fur seems to be completely changing. Her upper half is still the black and grey streaks that we know so well, but there are chunks of fur that are lighter and darker and different lengths in her lower half. She also seems to be shedding non stop. Every little touch, boom, more fur. I swear I could’ve made an additional 3 rabbits with all the fur so far, and it seems far from over.

This is her third fall-winter with her and the first time she has done this. Usually it’s one day with a giant fur fest and then it slows down with little bits here and there. And even then, her fur stays pretty similar, just shorter and thinner

I do partially wonder if it’s stress, as she has gone through 2 moves within the week, as well as dealing with dogs barking and people yelling, but not sure if that can contribute to it
She also spent her first time outside and it was a pretty warm day compared to our usual indoor tempuratures.

I may just be over thinking this. Guess it’s like a mother with her first child xD but I want to be sure, cause I know skin problems and bugs are a very real posibility

I’m going to try to upload a picture, but being on my phone, it’s fighting me so I’m not sure if it’ll show. If it does ever work, not the best picture taken lol.

As long as it is not giving her bald spots and the skin underneath isn’t scaly, red and their is no excessive grooming.. you are probably having a heavy molt. If your buns are anything like mine they molt from March-August, August-Jan, & Jan-March.. Just three molts a year

Goose constantly sheds. I have tried every kind of brush imaginable. we brushed daily for three weeks. We brush weekly now. It doesn’t matter. I used to worry about it at first but his skin looks healthy, he never has bald patches, and I’m positive he isn’t eating large amounts of hair because it is literally everywhere.
