It’s already October… and pumpkin’s take a huge part in the Autumn Season. This is a silly question because I know that both Bunnies & Guinea Pigs can eat pumpkin, but can they eat hard, dehydrated pumpkin/pumpkin chips? (Plain, no seasonings or oils). Thank you for reading ☺️??

Pumpkin, cucumber and zucchini are all bunny-safe vegs. So if they want to eat pumpkin chips it’s ok. If they do, please let us know! My rabbits refuse raw pumpkin. One of them ate fresh cucumber when he was little though.

I have a hamster as well as a rabbit, I was wondering if my bun can eat pumpkin seeds (I have a rabbit-safe cookie I wanted to add the seeds too). I also, if anyone knows, want to know if it would be safe for my hamster to nibble on those mini pumpkins. (Plain from the store) This may sound dumb but please answer anyway.

I’m not familiar with pumpkin chips and have never seen them. If they are totally plain as you say though it should be fine. My main concern would be to read the package really carefully to make sure that you are correct about the oils, and that they aren’t deep fried like potato chips.

Bunnies can eat pumpkin seeds, but they’re very high in protein and fat, so a very small amount should be served. My bunnies get a few pumpkin seeds as a special treat sometimes. They go completely crazy for them, so you have to be very strict, they will beg for more and as you know, bunny begging can be very hard to resist.
