I have a 4 month old American Checkered Giant. He is very possessive over me. My husband and my children cannot come near me without him freaking out. He refuses to bond with anyone but myself. He is very aggressive towards everyone but me. He will kiss me all day and press his nose to mine. Why is he acting like that? Very worried.

At around 3 months, bunny-puberty starts. I’m guessing your bunny regards you as his fiancée. He has bonded with you. It’s not abnormal, so it’s not really worrying, but of course it’s very impractical. Neutering him might help if his love for you has a sexual component. Does he circle you/your feet at all? Does he grunt? Those are elements of bunny courtship.

No. He does not circle my feet. Or grunt. When I sit down or lay down he is either on my lap or sitting on my chest. He has bitten my husband twice for putting his arm around me. My husband thinks this is funny , however, I do not. He only pees and poops wherever I am at. I thought he might just me marking his territory. He runs to me whenhe is scared as well. Maybe I am just his comfort?

Are you sure that he refuses to bond with anyone else in the household? Often times my guest are confused about why my bunny is so comfortable around me when he runs away in terror from them. I often have to tell them to sit down and bond with him. Have your other family members taken the time to just sit with him quietly in an area and build up his trust by feeding him treats?
