        Hello everyone

I’m new to this site and I have 8 rabbits. We had 1 female rabbit that our neighbour gave us when she was 4 months old. We have had it for a year now so she is 1 years and 4 months. Our neighbour had male rabbits in the hutch. We use to let the our rabbit out in backyard and supervised her. On April this year when I went inside for 5 mins, my rabbit manage to dig to neighbour yard and had went into the male rabbit and well you know mated. When I come outside she isn’t there and we had to go to neighbours house to get her. So she got pregnant and I know I should desexed her. And she had 7 baby rabbits. The 7 baby rabbits are now 6 months old and we made a big cage outside for them all. We ask the neighbour to check there gender and he said there females all. But we found out 2 of the rabbits was males and was on top of one of the female and this happen two days ago. And I quickly got out the 2 males in different cages. Now I have a problem, I don’t what to do. I wanted to give them away but I felt like they were close. Now I don’t know if the females are pregnant again. I called the vet and they said that you need to desex all 6 rabbits and I can’t afford that. I’m thinking of giving them away but I want them to have a good home. I’m just confused on what to do and really need help. My neighbour said he will take them and give it to someone but I don’t trust him cause I’m afraid he might give them to the wrong people. I’m really confused on what to do and really want the rabbits to be happy. Im a new rabbit owner and i really need help and advise on what to do. I heard parsley may abort the baby but I don’t know I don’t want to harm them. I don’t even know if there pregnant. The neighbour was a breeder of rabbits and all of them died somehow and that’s why I don’t trust him. Please if anyone can help me out I really want the rabbits to have a good home and be happy.

Get to the vet, get the genders confirmed, separate the males and hopefully they will only be the two, get them desexed first and keep seperate for a full month. You are going to have to address this in stages. If you had the money I would suggest desexing all which would also halt any pregnancies but as that is not an option you need to aim for small victories. Separate the genders first. Then we will work out a game plan.

Sage is the herb that is likely to halt a pregnancy, not parsley. I would not suggest using it though, the pregnancy may progress and the babies arrive damaged.

I think your right to keep them as allot if people neglect rabbits and sone sell them as human or animal consumption.

can you get a vet to sex them then keep them separated?
