First off, we are constantly checking him for nasal discharge, etc. in case it is Pasteurella. We plan to take him to the vet regardless in case he has allergies.

In the past few days we’ve noticed him making a sneezing/snuffing/coughing noise often. So far nothing has really changed in their room, it’s been very hot so they do have an AC unit but we just cleaned the filter. He is also shedding right now and his fur is everywhere. He has the same hay and bedding, we use a vinegar/water solution to clean their area.

Tonight he has been doing it much more than we’ve noticed recently.

Any tips appreciated; I just want as much info as possible before we can take him in to the vet.

        Thank you!

          hi

have you found out what’s wrong.
it definitely isn’t normal behaviour. the vet should be able to check what’s wrong

We went to the vet, she said the only abnormal thing she heard was a slight “bubbling” in one nostril. No discharge, no sign of anything on paws from cleaning discharge, nothing to signify Pasteruella. He was put on an antibiotic and a probiotic and she rec’d an air purifier for their room since we haven’t had any changes in cleaning, hay, food, etc.

He is still having sneezing fits–in fact he just had a terrible one which led me to come back on the forum to check on responses.

Anybody know what we should do next?? Everything is normal with him aside from the sneezing but this last attack was the worst I’ve seen and I’m worried about him (and his bonded bunny, too).

I’d take him to a rabbit specialist its too complicated for a normal vet because they aren’t actually qualified in rabbit care.
I wasted so much money and months waiting for my normal vet to help my tortoise. She nearly died I took her to a specialist and she sorted her in one go and only charged £3 for the medication plus consultation.

Yes, we do take our rabbits to a specialist recommended to us by the rescue agency we got our rabbits from. They said everything is normal except for the slight sound in his right nostril and they did a flush to see if he had any discharge (they didn’t see any during his visit).

                  ??
I was referred by my vet to another and that’s the one that was dangerous and nearly killed my tortoise then I found a specialist ( 3 rd vet). Maybe worth a look online rather than word of mouth .
