I’m wondering what breed my little Armadillo is. I found him outside where he was abaondoned and I don’t know anything about his origin. His fur feels a lot like hamster fur. I don’t know his weight yet, since we dont have a scale. His coat is harlequin though. He isnt too big, a bit bigger than a guinea pig. He fits inside a hamster cage sold in petshops (the horrible ones) so he is pretty small. I’m just wondering!

Fur: feels like Hamster fur, I don’t know how to describe it
        Weight: N/A
Size: Bit bigger than a Guinea Pig

I can’t upload photos because its too big. I cant edit it either because my computer broke. So I uploaded on a random photo Buckey account:

Hmmmm…as for breed, I don’t have any guesses. But he is absolutely gorgeous. I’m a big Harlequin Fan. I’m sure someone else will throw in some guesses for you. He’s most likely a mixed breed.

Thank you for giving him a home.

My guess is a mix with the harelquin pattern worked in there somewhere. Is he young? Perhaps when he is older, his size and features will provide clues.

He looks pretty young still. It will be easier to tell when he’s older. The size you describe would be a dwarf, but his shape and features don’t look like he’s a dwarf, so I think he is still under 3 months of age if he’s that small.

Many of the best indicators of breed don’t develop till the rabbit nears adulthood. It’s possible he’s a harlequin, but it’s also possible he’s something else and happens to have the coloring.

He might actually be just a harlequin rabbit. Since harlequin “breeds” are usually pretty small, but that isnt confirmed by some to be an actual breed. He is a japanese harlequin though!

He might be male, but he’s a bit scared when I try to lift his front paws. I was able to check once when he flopped out and fell asleep. He’s still quite young and I’m not really sure of his age yet.

I’m planning on taking him to the vet soon to check his gender, and maybe a estimation of his age and the breeds he is. Still saving up to fix him….

He is probably pretty young. I don’t know his age though
