› Forum › THE LOUNGE › BABY BUNNIES – SHARE YOUR PHOTOS
Hello everyone…
Just wondering if anyone would like to share some photos of their bunnies when they were babies..
Hi, Annmaree,
I need to check with BB first, because this is possibly against the rules of the forum. It may be OK since it is pix of our own bunnies, not litters, but before we proceed I will need to lock this thread.
Me again. I am going to unlock this thread, because it complies with the first part of the rule. I am copying the rule here, so when others go to post pix, please comply with them. Thanks!
***D-1 Baby bunny photos are allowed under these circumstances:
1. This is your own baby bunny that are already have or are planning to buy/adopt/acquire. Avoid posting photos of babies under 8 weeks of age.
2. Accidental Litters – You may only post pictures of the rabbit that you are certain you will keep. Bunny must be at least 8 weeks of age in photos, and the image cannot contain any other rabbits that you are not keeping.
While we understand that accidental litters do happen, these photo threads can distract from our main focus of helping members care for their bunnies. Therefore, we ask that if you want to show off the bunny you intend to keep, that you contain your photos and updates to a single thread in the Lounge. This enables us stay focused on what is most important to our forum and meet the needs of our members.
3. You are foster, volunteer, or work for a certified rescue/shelter. Post in the Rescue Section only and provide the shelter name & link to the shelter in your first post. Keep updates to a single thread.
Thanks everyone, sorry for any confusion. Yes these our my own bunnies. Photos taken about 4 years ago.. 2 have now passed over the rainbow bridge.. Little white bunny with darker ears and nose is still with us.. His name is Peter..
Hello RabbitPam,
If you like delete my thread and I will open a new one.. Thanks
My bunny never looked like a “baby” bunny. She was like 4 pounds when I got her.
Does 8 months count? Most of Moxie’s baby photos are the memory card got destroyed/aren’t on the computer.
Annmaree – It’s all good. Your bunnies are adorable. Do you have adult pictures so we can see a before and after?
Very cute MoxieMeadows..
This is Peter now..
Thanks. Peter is so cute, I love his markings.
What a gorgeous boy!
And Moxie, I think she looks darling in that picture. It’s a shame you don’t have any from when you first got her.
This is little Millie the day I adopted her.
Her wee ears were SO long compared to the rest of her body, it was so cute!
!
Awww, Peter looks like our bridge bunny Obie. My friend always said he looked like he had an Oreo on his nose.
Jo Leigh, Millie is sooo cute, love her long droopy ears.. Do you have a photo of her now, would love to see her
Hi BrunosMama, yes his nose does look like an oreo When he was a baby it just looked like he had a dirty little nose.
” Dreaming of Giant Bunnies” are you a giant bunny owner?
This is Peanut.. He has past over the rainbow bridge, but never forgotten…
Peanut was beautiful.
And Brunosmama is not allowed to have any more bunnies.
Awww….what a great way to start my morning.
I’m very adamant there is NOTHING cuter than a baby bunny.
Some more proof of that, here’s Bindi when he was just a little baby bear.
I don’t have any of Olivia. Wish I did but she was already grown up when I got her.
LBJ no fair! Lol You would be proud of me…since Obie passed I have turned down 2 bunnies and a kitten.
Ann, our biggest bun is about 13Lbs. But someday we would love to have giant bunnies. Like the one picture that’s popular of a guy holding a bunny that looks as big as a child. German giants or something.
But we have 9 bunnies now, so we don’t have room. Lol
Oh my goodness, they’re so cute! The white bun looks just like the bunny I wanted to get at the weekend -even down to the facial markings.
I showed my wife and until I pointed out the second bun she was convinced they were the same. She wants two more buns now. (I wish.)
I’ve shared these before, I think. Looking back over the photos reminds me just how small Mr Roger was. We never had him as a baby but both the teen buns have outsized him.
Technically at 18 weeks Fred and George were baby-babies but they’re were still pretty young! Fred always seemed to have an undersized head and enormous ears. I like to think she would have grown into them.
Charlie wasn’t aged exactly. We were given anywhere between 16 and 20 weeks, but they reckoned it was either 17 or 18. He’s definitely sexually ready if nothing else!
Baby Fred
Baby Fred and George
Baby George
Baby Charlie
Baby Charlie and less so baby George (the photo doesn’t show it very well, but George is actually a fair bit bigger and heavier than Charlie – I suspect they’re related and that he’ll wind up about the same size as her eventually!)
I really like the then and now pics – Baby and then what members’ bunnies look like now. So interesting! So if you show a baby pic – try and show us a now pic too!
Paradigm your bunnies are very cute, they have lovely markings.
LittlePuffyTail, love those big droopy ears, soo cute
Helenmarie85, your bunnies Bella and Bonnie are lovely..
Searching through some old photos I found Pepper, he was our first ever bunny. He has now passed over the bridge.

Helenmarie85, your bunnies Bella and Bonnie are lovely..
Thank you!! They are very cute!! These are our first ever bun’s .. so this is all new to us. Our kids LOVE them!! The white one is like a little lap dog .. she LOVES sitting on our laps, she licks and licks and licks you to death, easy to get hold of if we need to … very cute. The brown one on the other hand is just completely different, hates being held, hates being caught, hates being stroked although slowly getting better .. I swear this rabbit has some of a wild rabbit in her lol!!
GUESS WHAT? I FOUND MOXIE’S BABY PHOTOS!! (Be warned she’s never looked like a “baby” )
Here are baby Moxie:
Moxie now:
MoxieMeadows she has such beautiful fur.. Does she need brushing much and does she like to be brushed..
Annmaree— Thank you. To keep her looking well kept she needs daily brushing/every other day brushing. Although her breed has guard hairs to prevent matting, so she only mats around her butt if I go a few days without brushing. Although sometimes she’ll get a tiny knot right behind her ears/on her neck too.
I like to brush her a lot (daily to every other day), because it keeps her looking very soft and nice. But no, she does not like being brushed at all!
This is Bramble as a baby
This one is really dark but its him a few weeks later I think
Bramble is the smaller of the two here, this was the day we got Ron
And this was him a while before we got Ron when he was recovering from having his teeth done
Hi Kristyol, thanks for sharing photos of Brambles.. Love the name and his colouring..
Brunosmama have you thought about an American Checkered Giant? The minimum weight is 11 pounds and no maximum weight. I have seen some rather gigantic ACGs. I have one myself, however, he is still just a wee thing.
Mr. Bun – I had not thought of the checkered giant. They have beautiful coloring.
This post has made me look through my old pics of when I got Winston… I’m all giddy over his cuteness now! I love looking at everyone’s bunny pics!
First photo after arriving home
Teeny bun receiving a signal
The start of his head tilt
Removing from head tilt and regaining balance
What a cutie !!
I had to do a double take when I saw Fred and George! They look like they could be Winston’s brothers!
Blurry baby Meki on the day I got her:
And then 5-year-old baby Meki long after she’s figured out hands = pets
And as an October Bonus, Meki’s 2 1/2 month old photoshoot!
Hi Winsons-mum,
Love the one ear up and one down, soo cute..
How long did he have the head tilt for, did it just eventually corrected itself..
This is Billy my Flemish Giant..
In the pink beanbag he’s 10 weeks old..
My 6 year old daughter holding him he’s 5 months old..
He had head tilt for about a month. It was horrible at his worst, couldn’t stand up, just rolling around everywhere. He had 3 different medicines daily and now he’s all upright again!
Oh my! billy is so cute and cuddly! Him at 10 weeks looks like Winston’s size now at 7 months!
Here is Marley on the day that I got him, I’m guessing he was around 3 months old.
And here he is just two days ago, now around three and a half years old!
Billy at ten weeks is the size of BB at 2 years ! I can’t believe how big that bunny is !!
What is Marley face planted in ? It looks incredibly soft.
I will need to purchase another pumpkin now to take pictures.
BB at 1 year when he came to live here
Doing his first ” Dead bunny ” impression which almost gave me a heart attack !
and now at 2 1/2
The “dead bunny” impression photo is too cute! I remember the first time Marley did that, I freaked out as well!
Marley is face planted in “fluffy bedding stuff”, as I call it. I guess it’s technically nesting for hamsters but he loves to dig in it and throw it around!
BunLuv, love the dead bunny look, think I would freak out too if I walked into the room and saw that…
alcyone, Marley sure does look like she’s enjoying that soft fluffy bedding.
Diamond, I did not think Lily could get any cuter…. You have proven me wrong!!! I adore her.
Willow today.
Mimsy, Willow has the most precious little face! I love the name, as well!
Thank you. she’s getting hard to take pictures of, she was easier when she was more timid getting used to her new home. Now she wants to eat my camera strap or just get in my lap if I sit on the ground to get a pic at her level.
Marley is adorable too. I love the second picture.
Aw, really? Marley’s easier to get a picture of now because he’s pretty lazy, when he was younger he was more active. The only time he gets curious is when I move something, but other than that he pretty much just naps under the table. Thank you so much! It’s crazy how much he’s grown.
Sadly I have like 2 pictures of her as a baby. I hate that so much ! The story behind it is very funny.. I actually dropped my phone from the second story in my building.. I didn’t get a phone for 3 months after that. So she grew up and no longer looked like a little baby. The rest of the baby pictures are so adorable. They all look so fluffy and innocent.
My rainbow Bun “PEPSI”, I don’t think I need to indicate which photo is baby and which is adult !! LOL
She was a big bun too, probably the same size as Zouzou. 5-6 kg.
She was loooovely and a true free run rabbit, but golly, did she thump !!
Is 2 months still a baby? Curious and energetic little guy.
