hello. my rabbit has had soft and not hard poop. its been very concerning to me. I fed her a some carrots yesterday to get her out of places she should not be. (under couch/hutch) and so today shes has soft poop. sometimes abnormally shaped. and just squishy. and little bit ago. she excreted a very human like stool. it looks like a sausage with noticeable cracks on the surface. I am paranoid she has like gi stasis or something. shes been pretty normal and active still eats normally. could the carrots have gave her soft stool? is it diarrhea? if so what can I do? I dont have a vef yet. I just got her and shes my first rabbit.

Sounds like a cecal or night poop that hasn’t been eaten. Does it resemble a little bunch of grapes very tightly packed together ?

These are the soft poops they reingest. Sometimes they can get interrupted and leave them or produce more than they need if they have a rich diet.

My Bam can’t have carrot or his tummy reacts just like your bunny’s. So stop the carrots and give her fresh hay and find some other treat to use in situations like the one yesterday.

GI Stasis means the rabbit doesn’t poop at all, and won’t eat, and feels lousy. So this is not GI stasis. Hay is the best medicine for this.
