So I love to bake. We often buy cheap bananas that the peels are starting to turn black from the store to make banana bread. We currently had some bananas with their peels turning black (so they get soft inside). (They aren’t rotten btw) We put them in zip-lock bags in the freezer today to help them try and last another day or two.

Well my question is, would it be okay to thaw out some slices to make some bunny treats with them? Or would it somehow be harmful to her?

NEXT QUESTION- What are your favorite bunny treat recipes that are very simple to make? A lot of people just suggest winging it, mushing some pellets adding some banana/pumpkin and oats and baking them.

Thanks for all of the help everybody!

Well, if bunnies are anything like turtles then I don’t think bananas that are a bit over-ripe won’t hurt anything. This would be especially true if they were baked in something like bunny treat cookies.

No suggestions for recipes though. I’m not too creative in that department.

I think the only consideration is that sugar content increases as fruit gets riper. That’s why your super ripe bananas make the best bread-so if you are going to use it, maybe much smaller amounts?
