        Is cornstarch the same thing as cornflour in the UK?
        My 9 week old REW mini lion lop had dried poo/faeces stuck near her bottom which I’ve carefully cleaned off with a disposable cloth and warm water (following previous advice on here) I did leave it a couple of days to see if she’d do it herself but despite grooming down there it wasn’t budging so I figured she needed some help. I just wondered if a dry bath with cornstarch (again described on here) might be easier if it happens again?

        I don’t know if she’s just not very good at grooming there as she had a bit stuck when we first viewed her (at 6 weeks) but it had gone by second viewing…

          I’m not sure but I’m assuming it’s the same thing.

          Is there a reason she might be getting dirty? Buns are usually good at keeping themselves clean. Is she having any mushy poos?

            This is what i found about the cornflour thing ;
            “Yes – if you are comparing the terminology within the UK and US. The term cornflour is used in the UK, cornstarch is used in the US.

            No – if you are talking in American terminology. Cornflour is finely ground corn, which is essentially polenta. Cornstarch is a common ingredient used to thicken sauces, for say Chinese cooking.

            A common mistake for a British person is to buy cornflour, thinking it’s cornstarch in an American supermarket.”

              Yep, I second Reem here. Corn starch and potato starch are white powders. It’s pure starch derived from corn (maize) or potatoes. Corn flour is ground corn (maize) and used to make like corn tortillas (Mexican) and stuff.

                I’m from the UK so I’m thinking its cornflour I need. I already have it in the kitchen – it’s a very fine white powder. We use it to make or thicken sauces – does that sound right?
                The vast majority of his poop is small and round and dry just like his brothers. Every day I’m finding one or two of what I assume are cecals squashed on the floor of their pen. And white bunny (Malibu) frequently has a squashed lump or two around the bottom! They are 9 weeks old and both have only ever been given hay and pellets and they eat and drink really well. I’m still gradually changing their pellets over from what they had from the breeder.
                Are some bunnies just not so good at staying clean? They are pretty fluffy – should I trim the hair around the back end?
