My rabbit keeps chewing on the coroplast. I have it on the bottom of the cage so I can keep everything inside and if she pees it stays in. What can I do to have her stop chewing on it?

I’m afraid there’s not a lot you can do exept remove the coroplast. If a bunny decides to chew something, the bunny will generally chew it until it is placed out of reach.

If I understand you right, she’s not litterbox-trained? If you litter-train her, she will pee in her litterbox and you’d not get pee all over the cage.

She’s semi trained. I put binder clips on the plastic. So if she chews on the binder clips, she can’t swallow it.

I hope it works! Do you give her stuff she’s allowed to chew, like tree-branches/twigs, wooden chew-toys? Bunnies do like to chew stuff.

Unfortunately, switching it out may end up being a problem.

My buns have taken up “projects” and the only way to stop them was to completely remove them and hope that they picked an appropriate outlet next time.

This has even extended to when I had to switch one of Mr Roger’s beds when he’d destroyed it – absolutely no interest in the next bed.

I’ve also tried putting something appropriate in the place of whatever they’re destroying and sometimes this works.
