So I got the first bunny, Bun(female), may 25th – She’s about 5 months now. And I just recently got another bunny, tofu(male), last week. Now Bun has always been kind of sassy, but never mean. She’s also best friends with our dog. We wanted to get her a friend so that’s why we got the other bunny. I was trying to slowly bond them so they can be friends, but when tofu decided to eat her food she bit him in the head twice. I separated them quickly and they both have there own cages. Bun always had a very calm face but now she looks angry 24/7, even when I put a wall between them so they can’t see each other. Tofu is still a baby so he’s oblivious to the fact that Bun wants to kill him… Idk what to do anymore. I’ll be attaching before and after photos of bun’s face. Has this happen to anyone before? How do I bond them without having bun hurt tofu

          Are they spayed and neutered?

They’re both not of weight to be spayed and neutered

You should get them desexed before you try to bond them. The girl is likely very territorial and sees the new bun as an unwanted intruder. It’s quite normal (but bothersome), even bunnies that grow up together as very good friends start fighting when they hit puberty, and it can become very ugly. So all sexually mature buns need to be desexed + healed before bonding starts.

So I suggest you don’t let them meet again until they’re spayed/neutered. If they become real enemies before that, and it looks like that could happen from what you’re telling us, it may be very hard to bond them even after desexing.
