I know most people use timothy hay, but I was wondering if i could use Bermuda hay? My grandparents grow it, so I could get all the free hay I wanted.

Bermuda hay is a grass hay, so it’s fine for rabbits. Here is what the San Diego HRS site says about Bermuda grass:

“Bermuda Grass is a good all around food source with a moderate amount of calories. Bermuda grass contains the same nutritional content as Timothy or Orchard grass, so these can be fed interchangeably. The thing about Bermuda grass is that rabbits don’t care for it very much. They don’t find it as appealing as Orchard or Timothy hays.”

I have never tried Bermuda grass hay with any of my rabbits, but it has been tried at the rabbit sanctuary where I volunteer, and the rabbits didn’t like it very much. There is no harm in trying it, though, your rabbit may like it. You can always mix it with some Timothy hay or orchard grass.
