Let Jenny out for some floor time, while I cleaned out her run. She hopped in to inspect that it had been done ‘right’, so I shut the door, so I could let Gina out for some floor time, while I did her cage.

Gina has only recently started binkying, although we’ve had her for over two months, and she is still trying to get the knack of them. She managed to confuse herself with them today. Unlike the lops, who binky mid 500, and land still running, the girls go pretty much vertical from standing, only Gina hasn’t quite worked out what she, or more precisely, her little bunny bum, is doing, mid binky. Today, she was jumping upwards, like a little mountain goat, but as she twisted mid air, her head stayed looking forward, while the rear end curved round, as if it was trying to catch her head up, and the expression on her face as she looked at her rear was priceless, as if to say, where do you think you’re going!

It would have made a great video clip, but I can’t see her repeating the performance for me to film!

Jenny, meanwhile, has worked out that if you head-butt the A-frame in the very bottom corner, it is light enough to lift it slightly, and she was pretty determined to do just that. Some kale made a useful diversion, as I don’t want her either escaping, or giving herself a headache. She’s smart to work that one out though!

They can pretty adorable, even when they appear to know what they’re doing. I love bunnies who don’t quite know what to make of what’s happening.
