Her sister said you need to give a rabbit hay always, daily veggies, and limited pellets and she said that’s too much work and then her sis said fine I’ll take care of the food and then she said no I want to but I’m not feeding it all that stupid stuff. She even said I don’t need to let it out and she says she will not let her sister pet or let her rabbit out ever! She doesn’t even wanna buy toys because she said all it needs is food and water. What should I tell her?

You should tell her to get one of these (https://store.binkybunny.com/puppet–surrogate-floppy-bunny-p135.aspx) instead. No feeding, no mess, no need for attention, no work, and no additional costs.

Ask her why she wants a rabbit? I’m guessing, as it sounds like she doesn’t want the trouble-maybe she is copying you/jealous of you? Maybe you could offer her to borrow your bunny for sleepovers, to reduce the jealousy, and give her a taste of bunny ownership.

She lives quite far away and, frankly, I don’t trust her with my pets.

Do you think she’s looking to get a rabbit because she’s jealous of you? I think asking her why she wants one is the way to go, because it doesn’t actually sound like she does want one!

If you are hearing all this second hand from the sister, it’s possible the sister is an unreliable narrator. I have a couple of sisters, they can be exceedingly unreliable.

Maybe, but they used to be best friend until they were stepsisters and they hate each other now so maybe they keep trying to get revenge on each other, lol.

Tell her to buy a Goliath Tarantula, see if she wants one of them, won’t need much attention or toys, just have to be quick if it escapes.
