I am going on holiday a week today and my house rabbit dolly lives in my living room used to having the run of most the house n never take her outside! I’ve not many options apart from my dads nicely built garage with like a house door on and really clean. Is this a good idea just for 5 days???? Help please… X

Um… If it’s air conditioned, yes, but who will give her food and water and daily pellets and greens? Why can’t she just have free roam like she always did?

Heat will be the biggest concern Nic. 5 days in the cage is a stretch without exercise but if it is a matter of safety then it is unavoidable. Make sure you have a list written down of her needs and possibly prepack her salads etc into little packages so your father doesn’t have to do too much (it’s easier to remember to feed the bunny when it’s all ready for you) make sure he has contact details for your vet and give your father a list of things to watch for and make sure he calls you if anything changes about her behaviour so you can either reassure him or ask him to take her to the vet.
Another option is to ask if your vet will board her for the week.

Possibly say to your Dad you will phone him the first day to make sure both of them are ok. (so when you ring the first day to make sure he hasn’t forgotten there’s a bunny in the garage he won’t be offended)
