Hi.  Our bunny, a spayed Holland Lop (we were told) about 3 years old has a hairless patch on her face which seems to have appeared suddenly.  She is housed with another bunny, a smaller neutered male, and they seem to get along well.  I don’t see any sign of bites or scratches, and the hairless area doesn’t seem irritated at all – the hair is just gone.  I will try to post a picture but it is probably the equivalent of a quarter or slightly more.  Could this just be from a coat change? I haven’t seen this before.  We have had her since last December – she has a lot of hair and loses a lot of hair, but we haven’t seen a bare patch like this before.

Sometimes when the old fur sheds, there is a bald patch left. The new fur grows in within days. If you don’t see new fur soon it might be something else.
Does her mate groom her a lot? They can over do it sometimes.
