Good day. My 2 male angora rabbits were friends, then suddenly we realised they fight viciously. I had to split them. They are total house bunnies. They were neutered 10 weeks ago. The one still spray from time to time, he viciously tear up boxes and newspaper and mark everywhere. He is definitely the dominant one of the 2. I really want them to run all over the house and play again. I have tried driving with them. To put 1 in a case that other can smell and see him. Then I swop them around again. They are very terotorial. I start to wonder if the vet did the process correct. I fixed them because I dont want the fighting. The strong wee smell and spraying would have been a bonus for me. I just want to let them be friends again. Now one sit in the bathroom and one run around. Then I swop them again. When I sit with them, I also allow smelling bt keep them from each other. Im thinking of taking them to school in containers. Can any one tell me what I can do plZ
        Thankyou

How long have they been separated? Perhaps whacked out hormones (from being neutered) were bottled up and finally resulted in the fighting. Is one picking fights more often than the other?

My two are the same. They would viciously fight given the chance. I found the photo journal in the bonding area to be helpful in helping to read their body language. Also I found putting them in a small pen but separated by a section of the cage. The area needs to be small enough so they can’t really move much so they are forced to be in the vicinity of the other one. Mine fought through the cage – no damage but after a few arguments they settled down and touched noses through the bars. I did this every evening for about an hour a week before moving onto supervised time together in a slightly bigger area. I often have to calm nipping down but the fights have stopped. I’m still along way from complete bonding but with two males I think it can take a lot longer and require much more patience. Keep going with one small step at a time.
