I buy all of my bunny stuff at a feed store, and they ALWAYS have rabbits. About a month ago, I was there, and they had one that looked very similar to Mr. Binkins. He’s still there, and he’s probably about 3-4 mos. He’s in a little cage, because the other litter of babies they had him with were bullying him. He even has a healing bite mark in his ear, where one bit clear through! He’s in a really little cage, and all he does is eat and sleep and he seems to be overweight. He costs $20. The only problem, is that the summer isn’t over, and we only have ac in the bedroom, which is where Mr. Binkins cage is. Given that Mr. Binkins is almost a year old, and unfixed, how would this work? Would we be able to keep them in the same room, in different cages, and letting them out at different times? What about bonding two males together? Can anyone give me some advice?

It is possible to keep them in different cages in the same room but Mr. Binkins will try to fight with him and any given time. Please don’t try to bond them when Mr. Binkins is not neutered. Do not let Mr.Binkins go at the possible to be rabbits cage ever. Do not let them have bad experiences with each other. If you want them to bond, please neuter him. I sound so serious. Don’t let them interact if you won’t neuter your current rabbit. If they both get fixed, then they may bond, but males don’t bond with each other as well and females with males do, but it will probably still work.

I wasnt planning on trying to bond them until they were both neutered. But since I can’t convince my boyfriend of it, we’re not getting the little guy. Which makes me sad.

Oh, well I hope he gets a good home and if he doesn’t, at least he will go to the rainbow bridge.
